WPP "Bitovnja" project was presented to the residents of Dusina and Deževice

As part of the preparation of the Environmental and Social Impact Study of the Wind Power Plant "Bitovnja", on July 4 and 5, 2023, workshops were held with the local population in the settlement Dusina (Municipality of Fojnica) and in the pilgrimage center of Deževica Parish with residents of Deževica (Municipality of Kreševo).

JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. - Sarajevo as an investor and company Oikon d.o.o. The Institute of Applied Ecology from Zagreb organized workshops with the aim of presenting the construction project of the WPP "Bitovnja", gathering the opinions of the residents of Dusina and Deževica, as well as representatives of mountaineering, hunting and other societies that use the area where the construction of the wind power plant is planned. 

Although the project area of the WPP "Bitovnja" is entirely located in the area of the town of Konjic, Dusina and Deževica are nearby settlements and their residents use the area near the project area.

Acquainting those present with the activities related to the preparation of investment technical documentation, prof. dr. Mustafa Musić, Assistant to the general manager for development, presented the plan for the construction of the WPP "Bitovnja", emphasizing that it is a large project with a power of up to 90 MW, worth about 200 million BAM.

During the workshops, it was pointed out that as part of the implementation of the project, minimal measures are planned in the area for the needs of transportation and installation of wind turbines, which relate to the widening of the road to the project area, and the construction of transmission lines for the connection of the VE "Bitovnja". After the construction of VE "Bitovnja", everything will be returned to its original state, and special attention will be paid to the cranberry and blueberry plantations.
